The fiber connection to Amsterdam is Ready. Starting today we can use the new connection between Globalswitch (Amsterdam) and Interdc (enschede).

The build of the new walls for the data-room has been started. Also we are going to place a new wall against the existing brick wall. This is necessary because the brick wall is not completely dust free and not usable for a data-room.

The fiber optic cable is ready for use. The next step will be plugging in the new fiber cable. This will be done next week.

The new power connection to the main grid is ready. We replaced the existing power connection with a much larger variant. Then we are sure that there is enough power available to power every server in our datacenter.

The raised floor in our datacenter is ready. The power and internet cabled will be placed underneath the raised floor. This gives a clean floor where every cable is hidden underneath the raised floor. Also the underside of the raised floor is used to transport cool air from the AC to the front of the racks

Today the fiber tubes are ready to use. Soon the fiber optic cable will be blown through the tube.

The fiber tubes are placed. We needed to dig about 120 meters to place the fiber tubes taking 3 working days. The next step is to blow the fiber optic cable through the new tubes. This will be done next week.

The construction of our fiber optic cable is agreed by the local government. So we can start digging on 12 April. The construction is going to take 3 days.
